Finding other users

  • What is the first step to meet someone?

    The first step is to register and create your profile. Once you have done this you can then upload your best pictures and communicate with users that interest you. You can send users Interests and add your Favorites to a list. When you’re ready to meet a user, we have different subscription packages that will give you access to Chat and Messaging.

  • How can I find users that may interest me?

    Please use our Search button and fill out the fields that are important for you. If you have filled out your matching options in your profile, you will also receive profiles under MY MATCHES and in FEATURED MEMBERS that could be of interest to you.

Chat

  • How do I chat with someone?

    If you are a subscriber or would like to Chat with a subscriber you can use our Chat functionality. The Chat button appears on the users profile and is enabled when the user is online. To Chat, you must simply click on it and wait for the Chat window to load. If the Chat window doesn’t load, please make sure that you have the latest Flash plug-in installed.

  • I try to Chat but I don’t get an answer

    Please keep in mind that when a user receives a Chat request they have the option to decline it. Some users may ignore the Chat request or may not be available or interested in chatting with you. They will however, be notified that you have attempted to Chat with them.

Interests

  • How do I send an Interest?

    To send an Interest simply click on the Interest button located in the users profile.

Messages

  • How do I send a Message?

    To send a Message simply click on the Message button located in the users profile or reply to a message that has been sent to you.

Adding and Removing users from lists

  • How do I add or remove someone as My Favorite?

    To Add or Remove a user from your Favorites list, simply click on the Add or Remove button located in the users profile in your list.

  • How do I add or remove someone as My Admirer?

    You can’t do that but you can block a user from viewing and communicating with you.

  • How do I block and unblock a user?

    To block or unblock a user, simply click on the Block or Unblock button in their profile.

  • How do I report a user?

    To report a user, contact us with their user number and the motive of your complaint as well as a copy of any evidence you may have that they are being abusive.

Editing your profile

  • How do I change the information that appears in my profile?

    Please go to Edit Profile to make changes to your profile.

  • Why does my About Me get disapproved?

    Your About Me section may have not been approved because it:

    • contains personal information.
    • contains inappropriate language or statements.
    • is not related to the purpose of this service.
    • has no real content.

Editing your photos

  • How do I change the photos that appears in my profile?

    Please go to Edit My Photos and select, which picture you’d like to change. Photo 1 is your profile picture.

  • Why can’t I upload my picture?

    There could be 3 reasons:

    1. Your photo is in an invalid format. We accept most commonly used formats such as jpg and png.
    2. Your photo has an invalid extension name. Please keep the file name in this format: photoname.jpg and not photo.name.jpg
    3. Your picture file is too large. The site only uploads pictures up to 4000kb. To reduce your picture size, please use a photo editing program such as Photoshop and crop your picture, or save it again in a smaller resolution.
  • Why does my photo get disapproved?

     

    • The photo is too small, unclear or needs to be cropped
    • The photo contains copyright material
    • The photo contains inappropriate/graphic material
    • The photo contains private information
    • The photo contains a group of people and it is not clear who the user is
    • The photo contains children

  • How do I become a Gold or VIP Member?

  • What is Paypal?

  • How safe is it for me to make payments through this website?

    We do not process payments. All payments are received via Paypal. We not have access to any bank account or credit card information.   • I have upgraded my account. Why can’t I read my messages or chat with anyone?

    In order to have access to all Gold functionalities, we ask you to log off and sign in again so changes can take effect.

  • What payment methods do I have to purchase a subscription?

    At the moment we only accept payments through PayPal and Western Union.

Billing

  • Why have I been billed again?

    When you upgrade you purchase a subscription you are notified twice that you enter an automatic renewal subscription until you, the subscriber, cancel it. We display a message on the payment page saying, "Memberships are automatically renewed until cancelled by the subscriber ".

    After you are redirected to the PayPal page, you must agree to the Terms and Conditions before you proceed with payment and once again you’re notified: "Note: Your subscription will automatically renew at the rates stated above unless you cancel prior to the end of the billing period."

    Please remember that canceling your membership is your responsibility and we do not refund members who forget to do so before the end of their billing cycle, so please don’t ask.

    Please read all Terms & Conditions and other text provided to you before agreeing to any service here or elsewhere to avoid misunderstandings.

  • How do I unsubscribe?

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Login to your CupidVirtual account
    2. Go into MY ACCOUNT
    3. Click on the SUBSCRIPTION tab
    4. Click on “Cancel my subscription”

    You will then be redirected to Paypal where you shall login to your account and cancel your CupidVirtual subscription.

    In My Account you can check your subscription status (updated every 24 hours).

    You can cancel your subscription at any time without loss of status, as long as it is before the end of your billing cycle. Pl ease keep in mind that Paypal may be on a different time zone and the end of the billing cycle might be different than expected. You are advised to cancel at least 48 hours before.

    If you're a Gold or VIP Member and would like to remove your profile, please wait until you have been downgraded before canceling or you will continue being billed by Paypal.

Account

  • How do I remove my profile?

    To remove your profile, please follow these steps:

    1. Login to your CupidVirtual account
    2. Go to MY ACCOUNT
    3. Click on “Deactivate My Profile”.

    If you're a Gold or VIP Member and would like to remove your profile, please wait until you have been downgraded before canceling or you will continue being billed by Paypal.

    If you’d like to come back in the future, simply login with your original username and password and your profile will be back online.

    Please remember that if you login after you have deleted your profile, all information will go back online and will be visible to other users.

  • I deleted my profile but I changed my mind, how do I get my information back?

    Simply logon to your account with your username and password and your account will be reinstated. If you forgot your password, simply ask for a new one under the login field.

  • Why has my account been deleted?

    There are 3 reasons why your account could have been deleted:

    1. You cancelled it yourself in MY ACCOUNT by clicking on the link "Deactivate my profile".
    2. We cancelled your account at your request via e-mail, although we only do this in extreme cases. It is the responsibility of each user to cancel their account.
    3. We cancelled your account because you failed to abide to the TERMS of USE of this site.

    Please check that you’re entering your correct username and password before concluding that your account has been deleted.

    If you have cancelled your account by mistake, simply login with your username and password and your profile will be reinstated automatically.

  • I want to make my profile invisible to others temporarily

    To make your profile temporarily invisible to others, simply go to MY ACCOUNT and click on “Deactivate my account”. When you’re ready to come back, login with you usual username and password.

  • What is OpenID?

    OpenID makes signing up for and logging in to enabled sites simple and secure. It puts you in control of your online identity, and saves you time.

    With OpenID, you don’t have to sign up and create a new account for each site that supports OpenID – you can just use the identity you already have. Hundreds of millions of OpenIDs already exist, and it is likely that you already have one from a service you use.

  • I lost my password

    Please request a new password (under the login button) and you will receive in the e-mail address you’ve provided in your account, a new temporary password and your username.

    We remind you that you can’t request your password via Contact Us as we have no access to it. All passwords are encrypted and stored in our server. If you forget your password, a new temporary password will be generated by our system and sent to you directly to your e-mail address. If your e-mail address is wrong, please contact us, as we can update e-mail addresses.

    Once you access your account with your new temporary password, please change your password to something you will remember in EDIT MY PROFILE.

  • I request a new password and nothing happens

    Please make sure that:

    1. Your email address is valid and is the same as registered in the site.
    2. The password mail is not in your spam box and/or that your mail provider is not blocking CupidVirtual emails.
    3. You have filled out all required fields in your profile. If required fields are not filled out the profile is invalidated by the system. If this is the case, contact us.
  • I type in my username and password and it says it is incorrect

    You have the incorrect username or password. Please request a new one.

  • How do I change my password?

    Please login to CupidVirtual and change your password in MY ACCOUNT

SAFETY & PRIVACY

  • Safety is Our Priority

    Your safety and confidentiality is important. CupidVirtual uses a confidential Personal Messaging system to ensure that your identity remains anonymous. Contact is via your CupidVirtual user ID (ex: Bachelor0000) and we forward your mail anonymously to your e-mail address. The only other disclosed information will be what is registered in your profile. You choose when to reveal your identity or any other personal contact details.

  • Are members screened?

    Yes. For safety reasons and to ensure quality, CupidVirtual will do it’s best and reserves the right to review registration and profiles. This way we hope to reduce fake identities, scammers and other members who do not fit the profile for this service.

  • Is my information protected?

    Yes, we do not sell or distribute any information to third parties. Please read our PRIVACY POLICY.

  • What happens to my information after I cancel my account?

    Your information remains stored in the database for the sole purpose that if and when you chose to return your account can be reinstated by simply logging in. If you do not wish this information to be stored, please contact us.

    This site has been designed for Internet Explorer 7 and the latest versions of Safari and Firefox. If you are an Internet Explorer 6 or 5 user, you might have problems viewing our page.
